History
A Few Milestones Along the Journey
John met Wanda at The Hangout in Panama City Beach — the beginning of a lifelong partnership and a forever dance.
John and Wanda married, graduated from college, and moved to Dallas, where John began working for Texas Instruments.
Their first child, Mike, was born in Dallas.
Twins were born while the family was living in Tennessee.
The family moved from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, back to Birmingham, where John started working for Birmingham Beauty Supply, taking over his father's business.
John purchased Infomedia and, through blood, sweat, and tears, grew it into the company it is today. With the help of a dedicated team, Infomedia became a trusted partner for businesses looking for web solutions — a foundation that still stands strong three decades later.
Seeing the shift toward digital, John and his son Jason launched Uptick Marketing to help businesses navigate a new online landscape. What started as a bold step into digital advertising has grown into a thriving agency that continues to guide clients — even in today’s fast-moving AI era.
John and Wanda celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary — a milestone of love and partnership that has been a foundation of their family.
Jen began working with Infomedia’s support team before moving into project management, loving being a part of the family business.
Recognizing that some businesses needed a more streamlined, budget-friendly way to get online, John, Jason, and Jen co-founded Tempo. Tempo opened the door for clients Infomedia couldn’t reach before, offering quick, accessible websites without sacrificing quality.
